Margaret Mulholland - Staffordshire Humanist Celebrant

Meet Margaret

Margaret Mulholland - Naming Ceremonies in Staffordshire

Welcome, I’m Margaret

I am a lover of life and a fosterer of hedgehogs, a curious vegan with a quirky world view. I love to create and deliver joyful ceremonies for all of life’s key stage events.

Whether it is saying goodbye to a loved one, welcoming a new life into your family or an affirmation of love I will write something unique, just for you.

Humanist Celebrant

I am a Humanist, but you certainly do not have to be!
Most of the families I work with are not humanists and I have worked with people of many faiths and none. The common factor is wanting a ceremony that is beautiful and bespoke, something that really reflects you and your values.

My Experience

I have a background in drama and education, and I am an accomplished (and I hope engaging!) public speaker.

I have had a varied career to date everything from counselling to acting and teaching to management.

But this is the first time I really feel that I have found my niche. I was still wondering what I was going to be “when I grew up” when I was in my fifties and now at long last I know, and it feels like coming home.

Kind words

I can’t recommend Margaret enough, a lovely approachable friendly person, who is very considerate to your needs. Margaret makes each occasion special to suit each individuals occasion. A lovely lady to help make special memories x

Dear Margaret, thank you for doing such a good job at my father's funeral last week. We received many positive comments about both the tribute and your presentation of the service as a whole. Equally impressive was the fact that you carried this off while suffering from a heavy cold. I hope you have recovered from this or will do so soon. Thanks again. You did Dad proud.

Thank you so much for yesterday. The service was absolutely beautiful - just what my dad would have wanted. The whole family commented on how beautifully you delivered it.

On Sunday 10th August the lovely Margaret led a special and beautiful naming ceremony for our son, Hugo. Before the event, we were clueless about what to include, but we didn't need to worry because Margaret guided us through. The ceremony was perfect, lots of happy tears and a day we will never forget. Thank you Margaret.

I’m Margaret

I love what I do, and I think you will too.

Let’s talk!

It is a real privilege to have a part to play at significant time in a family’s life and this has given me a real sense of purpose in my own life and has reinforced my humanist beliefs.
